Foundational AI Literacy is a 36-hour program designed to introduce participants to foundational artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and practical digital applications.
The program provides guided exposure to widely available AI tools and supports participants in building awareness, confidence, and informed decision-making in modern digital environments.
This program is eligible for an 80% Employer Training Grant in British Columbia.
Foundational AI Literacy introduces participants to core AI concepts and practical digital applications through guided learning and applied practice.
Participants will build general awareness of artificial intelligence, explore commonly available AI tools, and develop confidence using AI in modern digital environments.

What is Foundational AI Literacy?
Foundational AI Literacy is a 36-hour program designed to introduce participants to foundational artificial intelligence concepts and practical digital applications.
Does this program lead to certification or a regulated occupation?
No. The program is not designed to prepare participants for a certification or regulated profession.
How is the program delivered?
The program is delivered online through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
How long is the program?
The program is 12 weeks long and includes 36 hours of instruction delivered 1 hour per week. The curriculum builds from one week to the next.
What is the maximum class size?
The maximum distance enrolment is 15 students, with an instructor-to-student ratio of 1:15.
This program does not require approval by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills. As such, PTIRU did not review this program.

Yes. Eligible students in British Columbia may qualify for both federal and provincial funding options. This includes financial assistance that allows you to work full-time while studying, receive increased living allowances, and access zero-interest loans.
Absolutely. Our flexible learning model is designed for students who need to balance school with part-time or full-time work. Many of our students work while completing their programs.
